With the exponential advancement of artificial intelligence in education, educators globally have access to various AI-supported platforms for teaching and learning English. The adoption of AI-enabled tools varies across institutions due to factors such as technological awareness, access, and training. Nevertheless, AI platforms for teaching English have become indispensable in academia. Initially focused on chatbots like Chat GPT, the scope of AI in education has expanded to include innovative, academia-focused tools. This presentation provides an overview of AI-enhanced learning accelerators such as Reading Progress, Speaker Progress, and Search Progress in Microsoft Teams, based on practices at the Preparatory Studies Centre, University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Al Musannah. The session demonstrates how these accelerators enhance learners’ reading, speaking, and research skills, presenting qualitative and quantitative findings on the effectiveness of Reading Progress for promoting loud reading skills. Ongoing studies on Speaker Progress and Search Progress will also be highlighted. Overall, the paper aims to raise awareness of these tools and their classroom applications.
