This study examines the application of text-mining techniques in analyzing the musical Wicked to uncover patterns in characters’ dialogues, actions, and relationships. Text-mining tools were utilized to identify recurring linguistic structures, thematic elements, and underlying narrative attitudes. The findings revealed key thematic threads, including power, identity, and morality, as well as significant insights into the characterization of major figures. The results demonstrate how text mining provides a deeper understanding of literary texts, revealing concealed patterns often overlooked in traditional methods of analysis. This study emphasizes the potential of text-mining techniques in literary research and suggests further applications for developing semantic mark-up tools for detailed literary studies.
